Cleaning My Golf Bag

To introduce my new site theme I thought it would be appropriate to have a golf story.

I’ve recently started a list of things I want to do: hobbies, procrastinated jobs, stuff I want to learn about…you get the picture. Well, first on my list was clean my golf clubs and bag. Everytime I go golfing I say to myself “Craig, you really need to clean these things…and why in the hell does your bag weigh 100 pounds!?!!”

Well, everytime I get done with a round, I have forgotten about this thought and neglect to do so…well not tonight my friends! After making Sarah some homemade soup (she’s sick) I got out the rag and started going to town. Below is the list of items I pulled out of my bag…

14 golf clubs
3 bottles sunscreen
1 pair dirty socks
1 pair regular golf gloves
1 pair winter golf gloves
5 old scorecards
1 hotel key card
1 credit card receipt
2 paper cushion balls (the things that make the bag all puffy when its brand new)
1 winter hat
1 Taylormade r7 425 accessory kit
1 rain cover
1 rainsuit - pants and jacket
1 ball marker
1 divot tool
1 key chain
18 tees
50 golf balls

Yeah, needless to say it was time for a good cleaning. I think I lightened the load by about 15 pounds too. Down here in Florida you don’t need winter gloves or a winter hat, and I took out the rainsuit as well as the trash and 35 of the golf balls… my back thanks me already.
