GIS was finally approved at my job! So I’m pretty sure I get to make the order for the software on Monday. Excited about that!
My head hurts bad and I think I’m getting sick. Had the chills and body aches and a sore throat and all kinds of other flu-like symptoms. Really trying to get better soon. I am supposed to run in a 5k on Saturday and would love to feel well enough to do that.
Here is that new picture of Bailey I said I would put up. She’s a cutie.

The last bunch of days has been extremely busy, much busier than I prefer. Since I last wrote, Sarah’s car had the brakes go out on it (as in won’t stop, pedal goes straight to the floor out) while I was driving to work. So our weekend was spent at the credit union getting a loan and car shopping. We bought…

a 2006 Ford Escape XLT. It has leather seats, a sunroof, a 6 cd changer and power everything…and for the first time in our car owning lives…remote keyless entry! All in all we are happy (Sarahs car) and the entire process went pretty smoothly. Things are much easier when you get pre financed and don’t have the dealer giving you the run-around! Sarah says we can have kids now that she has an SUV…I’m just trying to get another puppy.
Of course now that she has a new car and I am still sweating my ass off in my 99 Intrepid with no air conditioning I have the new car itch… I will resist the mega urge to scratch it until I can pay off my credit card bill.
There, in a nutshell was our weekend. We did go to a really great restaurant with some friends and had a great time. Still haven’t had time to watch much football…however, I am in 1st, 2nd and 7th places in my fantasy football leagues.. can’t beat that.
The Office starts this Thursday and if you haven’t been able to tell I am really excited about that. At Target they had a ton of stuff in the dollar bins from the Office, so I went to town. My desk is littered with stuff.
Bailey is getting really big, I will try and get another picture of her up on the site soon. I experimented with taking her on a bike ride, went well, only almost crashed 5 times. she has some power and pretty much pulled me the whole way. We’ll stick to walks.
Lunch time. I’ll get better about writing more often.

Just got back from the CFGIS Conference in at the University of Central Florida. I am rejuvenated and energized to start up the GIS program at the City of Wildwood now. You all better watch out, because I am one lean, mean mapping machine baby.

Part 2 of the 2 part series brings me to a list of my least favorite things.
Socks - look up my letter to socks for more information, I musn’t waste my time on them any longer
The Yankees - you don’t know how many people down here are Yankees fans… a lot of good that huge payroll is doing you.. 0 championships
Mushrooms - my taste buds have changed and I like a lot of stuff that I didn’t before… my displeasure for mushrooms remains
Drama - save the drama for your momma
Professional Badmitton - why is this an Olympic sport? and baseball is not?
My Gray Hair - maybe one day I will accept it…today is not that day.
Florida Road Names - each road down here has at least 2 suffixes…perhaps more… try finding 110th place road street next time you’re down…

Part 1 of a 2 part series in which I let the world know what my favorite and least favoriteĀ things are. We start today with my favorite things:
Peanut Butter - if its mixed with chocolate, its even better
Golf - you’d think I’d get to do more of it down here. Not the case.
Baseball - too bad the devil rays suck or I would go to some games
Long walks on the beach - nothing says awesome like sand inbetween your toes and that squeaky sound it makes
Fantasy football - arm chair quarterback right here, baby.
Bananas - a fantastic fruit, mix it with peanut butter and you have something magical
Michigan - oh why oh why does your economy suck?
Trainwrecks - britney, paris, nicole…i love you all
Maps - especially the older looking ones. too bad most people don’t have one
Grand Valley - the grandest of valleys. our football team is good
Ruby Tuesdays Croutons - crunchy on the outside, soft and warm on the inside
Culture - learning about new places and different people is fun..even better if you do it in person
