Another good weekend

Another great weekend has come and gone. I love 3 day weekends, why can’t all weeks be like this? I would gladly work 10 hour days if I got an extra day off every week.

Saturday

Woke up early, took Bailey to the dog park. She loves that place, gets to play with other dogs, run around, forget how to chase a tennis ball and get a bath before we leave. Then it was off to just lounge around the house and take a nap. Sarah was still trying to get rid of her cold/flu so she has been sleeping forever… I got bored and decided to go golfing with some friends. Golf was fun. I’m always mad at the end because I know I can play better, but oh well… for the amount of time I practice now I can’t expect to be the best… at least my bag was clean and light! Got home and Sarah was feeling better so we decided to drive up to Ocala and go to Beaners, a coffee shop that doesn’t start with star and end with all my money being spent there (bucks).  We had a 2 for 1 coupon so I got something i usually don’t get, a caramel latte…and I realized something that I thought would never happen… I kind of am acquiring a taste for the coffee flavor…weird I know…in the last year I have learned to love onions (most of the time), peppers, and now coffee. Mushrooms are still out of the question, so don’t even ask. After Beaners we went to Target and Barnes and Noble to round out the night. Very fun, maybe if I had money I would have bought some stuff, but I’m broke and my credit card balance is getting closer and closer to the max.

Sunday

Sarah and I woke up early to make the 2 hour drive to Largo for the Hydrocephalus walk-a-thon. What a fun time. There were over 100 participants in the walk, 23 with Hydrocephalus and total there were more than 107 surgeries between us. That is just crazy. As a group we raised almost $20,000 for research and advocacy. Great job. After that we went shopping for a little bit and went out to eat at one of my favorite restaurants, Sweet Tomatoes, a crazy good salad bar restaurant with all kinds of different salads, soups, and baked goods. Only problem is I always eat too much. We got home and I took a 3 hour nap, woke up and we just kind of hung out and relaxed…

Monday

Again, Sarah and I woke up and took Bailey to the dog park, tried wearing her out, but that rarely works. Then it was time for my 1.5 hour weekly date with the lawn-mower…we enjoy our quality time together, I’ve tried breaking it off a few times because we just don’t see eye-to-eye on certain things, like the frequency of our get togethers… Mowed the lawn, relaxed and then it was off to a friends house for a little bit of time on the beach. Yes, Craig broke his rule of never going in the lakes in Florida, I went up to my shins, and I am happy to say that they weren’t chewed off by alligators. Got home around 730 took Bailey on a walk and then it was time for bed. Weekend over, time for work. Only 4 more days until we get to do it all again.
